Basic soft vanilla sponge cake

Ingredients to make Basic soft vanilla sponge cake

  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs

How to make Basic soft vanilla sponge cake

  1. In a mixing bowl add eggs, sugar, baking powder and mix well with electric beater until light and fluffy on low speed.
  2. Then add vanilla essence and keep mixing with electric beater.
  3. Next add oil and continue mixing on low speed.
  4. Then add milk and continue mixing.
  5. Now add the flour and mix well with electric beater.
  6. Now scraping the sides and continue mixing.
  7. Pour the batter in baking pan with little oil greased on it.
  8. Bake at 200 degree for 20-25 min until it starts turning golden brown.

  10. Let the cake cool completely.

My Tip:

If you have a stand mixer better to mix in that its easy then I made with hand beater.
