Fish Biriyani

Ingredients to make Fish Biriyani

  • Fish slice 2/3( sheer fish or any fish with less bone)
  • Rice 1 cup (preferably jeera samba)
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Tomato 1 chopped
  • Green chilli 1-2 (depends)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tspn
  • Curry masala 1 tspn
  • Garam masala 1/2 tspn
  • Chilli powder 1/2 tspn+ 14 tspn
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2tspn
  • Mustard sees 1/4 tspn
  • Fennel seeds 1/2 tspn
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Star anise 1
  • Cloves 1
  • Cinnamon 1
  • Coriander leaves ( Garnish)

How to make Fish Biriyani

  1. In pan add oil and shallow fry fish and keep aside
  2. In same pan add oil, fennel seeds , bay leaf, star anise, curry leaf nd sauté
  3. Add ginger , garlic nd sauté for for 2sec
  4. Add green chilli, onion, tomato nd sauté for 2-3 mins
  5. Add salt
  6. Add curry masala, chilli powder( as per taste) and sauté till raw smell goes..
  7. Add fish (remove bone) and cook for few mins and add rice.. garnish with coriander leaves..

My Tip:

Try using coconut oil for frying fish. Add a tspn of ghee at last to enhance flavour and aroma
