Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mutton/Baby goat -500 grams (cut into medium pieces)
  2. Tomatoes puree - 1 cup
  3. Tomato chopped - 1 medium
  4. Onion chopped - 1 Large
  5. Capsicum - 1 medium(cut in squares)
  6. Dry Red chili- whole and seedless as desired
  7. Ginger paste- 1 tbsp
  8. Garlic paste - 1tbsp
  9. Kashmiri Chili powder-1 tbsp
  10. Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
  11. Coriander seeds- 2 tsp
  12. Black Pepper- 1 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  14. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  15. Cumin powder - 1tsp
  16. Garam masala-1/2 tsp
  17. Oil-4 tbsp
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds,dry red chili and black peppercorns and grind to a coarse powder.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai, add onion and saute till lightly browned. Add Ginger-Garlic paste saute again for 5 minutes.
  3. Add half the coarsely ground spice powder,turmeric,chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,garam masala and continue to cook.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes,tomato puree and salt cook till it releases oil. Add mutton and cook it for 15-20 minutes stir occasionally.
  5. Now you can pressure cook the mutton or can cook in oven till it perfectly cooked with 1- 2 cup of water.
  6. Add remaining coarsely ground spice powder,capsicum,onion squares and cook for more 10 minutes.
  7. Garnish with green pepper slices and serve hot with indian bread.
