Ingredients to make Sarkkara varatti

  • Raw plantain - 3 Nos
  • Jaggery - 1/3 cup
  • Powder sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • Dried ginger powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cardamom powder -1/2 tsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - for deep frying

How to make Sarkkara varatti

  1. Peel off the plantain skin and cut each of them into half,
  2. Cut each into 1/2 cm thick piece again and keep it at medium,
  3. Add the plantain pieces whn the oil become hot and fry it on Miduium flame,
  4. Stirring occasionally untill the banana
My Tip: Take a time to deep fry so set a midum flame and fry it well
