Raw banana koftas

Ingredients to make Raw banana koftas

  • Raw banana (boiled & mashed) - 3
  • Potato (boiled & mashed) - 1
  • Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  • Grated onion - 1
  • Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Dry red chillies - 2
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Jeera powder- 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1/4 th tsp
  • Ghee/Oil
  • Salt
  • Kismis and Kaju (chopped) - for stuffing the KOFTAS.

How to make Raw banana koftas

  1. 1. Mix the boiled banana and potatoes together with required amount of salt.
  2. 2. Now heat a kadhai with little oil and add jeera. Now add the mashed banana potato mixture and cook till it is Dry . Let it cool for few minutes.
  3. 3. Now make balls of the cooked mixture and stuff each ball with little chopped dry fruits.
  4. 4. Reshape the KOFTAS and deep fry them in hot oil, keep aside.
  5. 5. Now heat another kadhai with ghee/oil. Add the bay leaf and dry red chillies.
  6. 6. Now add the grated onion and saute till golden brown.
  7. 7. Add the ginger garlic paste and cook further followed by salt and powdered masalas.
  8. 8. Add the tomato puree and cook till masala leaves oil.
  9. 9. Add water and bring upto boil. Add the KOFTAS, sprinkle garam masala powder. Serve
