Ingredients to make Kach kolar kofta curry ( raw banana kofta curry)

  • FOR THE KOFTAS
  • 2 raw bananas boiled , peeled and mashed
  • 1 large potato boiled peeled and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 4 teaspoons of besan
  • salt as required.
  • oil to deep fry the koftas
  • To be made into a paste
  • 1 onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1 large red tomato
  • green chillies as per taste
  • To be powdered
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhania
  • 2 choti elaichi
  • 4 laung
  • 1/2 inch piece of dalchini
  • For tempering
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • water as required
  • 1/2 teaspoon haldi
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • dhania patta for garnishing

How to make Kach kolar kofta curry ( raw banana kofta curry)

  1. Take all the ingredients for the koftas. Mix them well . Add salt to taste. Make round koftas and keep aside for frying.
  2. Make the masala paste and the dry masala powder. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the raw banana koftas.
  4. In another kadhai put two tablespoons of the hot oil and add the tempering spices.
  5. Put in the masala paste and cook for about five minutes.
  6. Add the dry powdered masala and mix well.
  7. Put in the salt , sugar and the haldi powder. Mix well and add the water.
  8. When it comes to a boil add the koftas and turn off the gas.
  9. Garnish with dhania patta and serve with roti or rice.
