Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  2. Grated ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Grated garlic - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Chopped green chillies - 1 teaspoon
  5. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  6. Chaat Masala - 1 teaspoon
  7. Tamarind paste - 2 teaspoons
  8. Water - 1/4 Cup
  9. Chickpeas - 1 cup
  10. Salt - as per taste
  11. Chopped banana - 1 medium size
  12. Pomegranate seeds - a handful
  13. Chopped cucumber - 1/2 cup
  14. Chopped spring onion - 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Soak the chickpeas for 4-6 hours.
  2. Pressure cook the chickpeas until tender.keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.add in the grated ginger,garlic and green chillies.saute for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add in the coriander powder,chaat masala,tamarind paste and water.mix well.
  5. Now add in the boiled chickpeas and salt.
  6. Mix well and cook untill all water evaporates and mixture becomes dry.
  7. Once done remove from fire and set aside to cool.
  8. Upon cooling toss in the chopped banana,cucumber,spring onion and pomegranate seeds.
  9. Sprinkle some chaat masala and serve.
