Ingredients to make Banana Toffee Souffle

  • Bananas - 2
  • Toffee sauce - 3 tsp
  • Egg whites - 3 large
  • Castor sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Unsalted butter for greasing
  • Sugar for sprinkling

How to make Banana Toffee Souffle

  1. Blend toffee sauce and banana to a smooth paste.
  2. Grease the ramekins with butter and sprinkle them with sugar.
  3. Beat egg whites until just before soft peaks, then add castor sugar and beat to soft peaks.
  4. Add ⅓ of the egg mixture into the banana mixture.
  5. Then gently fold the rest of the whites together.
  6. Fill the greased ramekins with the mixture to the top, use a knife and scrape across the top of each ramekin removing any excess.
  7. Run your thumb along the edges of the ramekins until slight gap forms in between the walls and the banana whites mixture.
  8. The previous step helps the souffle to rise up evenly.
  9. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degree centigrade for exactly 8 minutes.
  10. Serve them immediately with a dust of icing sugar.
  11. The rise of the souffle definitely leaves one jaw stuck. Crusty top and velvety melting centers makes it a spoon licking French dessert.
