Ingredients to make Stuffed idli

  • 2 cups semolina
  • 3/4 cup curd
  • 4-5 finely chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • water as required
  • Eno 1 sachet
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 tsp each of mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

How to make Stuffed idli

  1. First mix rava, water, curd, salt, chopped coriander and curry leaves.
  2. Heat a wok. Add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, chopped onion and green chilies. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, amchur powder, salt, mashed potatoes, coriander leaves. Mix well. Let it cool. And make small round flat tikkis.
  3. Heat idli pan. Oil the plates. Add half tbsp of batter, then put the tikkis, again put half tbsp of batter on the top. Steam for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with coconut chutney and ghee podi.
