Upside Down Banana Cake

Ingredients to make Upside Down Banana Cake

  • Sugar - 320 grams
  • Butter - 115 grams
  • Heavy cream (Amul) - 60 ml
  • Bananas - 3-4
  • Flour - 120 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
  • Eggs - 2
  • Cream Cheese - 70 gms
  • Milk - 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp

How to make Upside Down Banana Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degree Centigrade.
  2. Take an 8-inch pan, lightly grease it and line it with parchment paper.
  3. Heat 100 grams sugar in a pan till golden. Be careful to not let it burn.
  4. Add 45 grams butter in it. Keep stirring till all the butter has been incorporated.
  5. Pour the 60 ml cream slowly and keep stirring till it is almost boiling over a couple of minutes.
  6. Switch off the heat and add 1/2 tsp salt.
  7. Slice the bananas lengthwise and lay it cut-side down on the caramel sauce.
  8. Put the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  9. Pour it on top of the caramel banana and bake for 50 minutes till it is done.
  10. Have it plain or serve with any ice cream of your choice.
