There are various types of kachori. Here, I am sharing the recipe of Moong dal ki kachori.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Maida - 2 cups
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  4. For stuffing-
  5. Moong dal (overnight soaked in water) - 1 cup
  6. Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  7. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  8. Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  9. Haldi - 1 tsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Hing - one pinch
  12. Jeera - 1 tsp
  13. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. For dough- mix maida, ghee and salt with the help of water and keep it for 10 minutes in a wet muslin cloth.
  2. For stuffing-
  3. Pour oil in a kadhai and put it on the flame.
  4. Add jeera, hing, haldi, chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala and the rough mix of moong dal.
  5. Mix well, let it dry and remove it from the flame.
  6. Take that dough and make a circle of it.
  7. Add the moong dal stuffing inside that circle.
  8. Then heat oil in a kadhai. Put that kachori in the oil, make it deep fry and serve with chutney or tomato sauce.
