Moong Dal Ki Khasta Kachori.

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Ki Khasta Kachori.

  • maida - 2 cups
  • salt to taste
  • ghee - 2 tbsp
  • For stuffing-
  • moong dal (overnight soaked in water) - 1 cup
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • haldi - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • hing - one pinch
  • jeera - 1 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Moong Dal Ki Khasta Kachori.

  1. For dough- mix maida, ghee and salt with the help of water and keep it for 10 minutes in a wet muslin cloth.
  2. For stuffing-
  3. Pour oil in a kadhai and put it on the flame.
  4. Add jeera, hing, haldi, chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala and the rough mix of moong dal.
  5. Mix well, let it dry and remove it from the flame.
  6. Take that dough and make a circle of it.
  7. Add the moong dal stuffing inside that circle.
  8. Then heat oil in a kadhai. Put that kachori in the oil, make it deep fry and serve with chutney or tomato sauce.

My Tip:

Always use the soft dough for kachori. Try to fry the kachoris on the medium flame.
