Sevaiyan Payasam with Caramel Banana

Ingredients to make Sevaiyan Payasam with Caramel Banana

  • banana 2
  • Milk 3 cup
  • Seviyan, thicker one 1/2cup
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • ghee 2 tsp

How to make Sevaiyan Payasam with Caramel Banana

  1. In a pan add ghee and roast the seviyan till brown. Now add milk and let it boil.
  2. When seviyan gets cooked up and payasam gets thicker then add cardamom powder and sugar. Mix properly and turn off the gas.
  3. Now in another pan add left sugar and caramelize it by continuously stirring it. Add cut banana pieces and switch off the gas.
  4. Banana pieces should be covered with melted sugar.
  5. For serving fill the glass with cool sevaiyan payasam till half. Put caramelized banana pieces then again fill it with payasam.
  6. Garnish with cut banana pieces.
