Ingredients to make Banana 65

  • Big size raw banana 2
  • Tomato sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Chilli sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Soya sauce 1 tablespoon
  • cornflour 1 tablespoon
  • Rice powder 2 tablespoons
  • Salt as per you taste
  • Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves 25 - 30
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Green chillies 4
  • Oil 2 tablespoon
  • Oil for Deep frying
  • Water 3 Cups

How to make Banana 65

  1. First in a deep pan take 2 cups of water.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder.
  3. Put it on gas on medium flame and let it come to boil
  4. Now take that bananas and peel them
  5. Cut them into circular slices
  6. The slices should neither be too thick nor too thin.
  7. Medium thickness is what we want.
  8. Now add the banana slices to the boiling water
  9. Cook for just 5 minutes.
  10. Bananas should be almost cooked not fully cooked
  11. The slices should be firm
  12. Now with a strainer take out the banana slices and keep on kitchen towel to dry
  13. Now prepare the batter.
  14. In a bowl take rice flour and add cornflour, Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soya sauce, salt, chilli powder and little amount of water and mix to make a thick batter
  15. Now take oil in a deep frying pan and put in gas
  16. When the oil becomes hot it is ready for frying
  17. Now take the banana slices and dip them in the batter.
  18. The batter should coat the slices completely.
  19. Now one by one put the batter coated slices in oil
  20. Fry over medium heat till the slices become crispy
  21. Drain them over a paper napkin
  22. Now make the sauce
  23. In a pan add 2 tablespoon of oil
  24. When the oil becomes hot add curry leaves
  25. Take the green chillies and cut them in long slits
  26. Add them to curry leaves
  27. Saute a little
  28. Now take curd and beat it till smooth and keep aside
  29. Switch the gas to the lowest flame
  30. Take one cup of water and add to the pan
  31. Now add the curd and mix.
  32. Now add the banana slices
  33. Stir only once and switch off the flame

My Tip:

The texture of the dish is crunchy.banana slices,curry leaves and green chilles should be crunchy.the curd sauce should just coat the banana slices hence immediately after adding banana switch off the flame.serve immediately or else the banana will turn soggy.
