Banana Methi ki Sabzi (Go Bananas)

Ingredients to make Banana Methi ki Sabzi (Go Bananas)

  • Ripe banana 2 big
  • methi leaves chopped 1 cup
  • oil 3 tbs
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • methi seeds 1/4 tsp
  • jeera seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Asafodita 1/4 tsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Dhaniya jeera powder 3 tbs
  • peanuts 2 tbs
  • sesame seeds 1 tbs
  • sugar 1 tbs
  • salt to taste

How to make Banana Methi ki Sabzi (Go Bananas)

  1. Coarsely grind peanuts, sesame seeds, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, dhaniya, jeera powder and turmeric. Masala is ready to stuff the bananas.
  2. Cut the banana in 2" to 3 " cubs make a slit and stuff the above masala in it.
  3. Heat a pan add oil, mustard seeds, methi seeds and jeera for tadka. Add asafoetida, chopped methi leaves and stuffed bananas pieces. Sprinkle water about 1 tbs if required and cover the pan with lid and cook on slow flame.
  4. When the sabzi is ready add remaining stuffing masala and stir it with soft hand.
  5. Banana Methi sabzi is ready to serve.
