ABOUT Rava Laddu RECIPE

Rava Ladu or Semolina Laddus can be made in many different ways. I have also added freshly grated coconut as an additional ingredient.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For Laddus 4 cups Fine Rava (Fine Semolina)
  2. 1 and 1/2 cups Ghee
  3. 1 and 1/2 cups Fresh Grated Coconut
  4. 3-4 tbsp Raisins
  5. For Sugar Syrup:
  6. 3 and 1/2 cups Sugar
  7. 1 & 1/2 cups Water
  8. 1 tspn Cardamom powder
  9. 3 tbsp Almonds & Pistachio Flakes

Instructions

  1. Add 3 and 1/2 cups sugar and 1 and 1/2 cups of water in it. Heat it on medium flame till it gets single string consistency.
  2. Add cardamom powder and almonds and pistachio flakes to the syrup.
  3. Mix the ghee and semolina in a pan. Roast ghee and semolina mixture on low flame till it changes its colour about 45 minutes.
  4. When the semolina becomes fragrant, add grated coconut to the mixture and saute for 10 minutes. Then pour the sugar syrup into the mixture.
  5. Turn off the flame and add some raisins also. Allow the mixture to cool. It will take approx half an hour for cooling.
  6. After cooling make medium size balls. These Laddus can be stored for 8-10 days outside refrigerator.
