Healthy and having one chunk gives good mileage for a day

Golpappdi

Ingredients to make Golpappdi

  • 3 cups Ghee 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup til and coconut powder ( grated get easily in market)
  • 1 and 1/2 cup dhilo ( loose formed ) gol i.e.jaggery
  • 1 cup till 1 cup Almond chopped
  • Aluminum square tray greased.

How to make Golpappdi

  1. Greasing aluminum square dish.Chop Almonds in pieces.Keep aside.
  2. In big aluminum kadai, heat ghee.Add wheat flour. Mix well. Roast till smell comes out to say color changes to golden brown. Also it will get light.
  3. Add coconut powder,til,mix well followed by chopped Almonds. Mix well.
  4. Remove kadai from stove, add jaggery.In heated mix,start mixing jaggery very quick and fast .It will melt. Sprinkle 3 tbsp milk approximately all over mix.
  5. Now empty mix in greased tray. Set uniformly.When warm cut into square pieces. Let it cool.
  6. Additionally can decorate with more almond pieces.

My Tip:

Very healthy to build energy. Also good for anemic patients.Good carry for students staying at hostel as its nutritional and good fill.
