Dhokla

Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • besan- 1 bowl
  • Suji- 1 1/2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar- 3-4 tsp
  • Citric acid- 1/4 tsp
  • Soda- a pinch
  • Ground green chilli- 1 tsp
  • water- 1 cup
  • oil- 1 tbsp
  • Rai- 1 tsp
  • jeera- 1tsp
  • Till- 1 tsp
  • Green chilli- 2-3
  • salt as per taste
  • Eno- 1 satchet

How to make Dhokla

  1. Take a large bowl, combine besan, suji, sugar, citric acid, soda, ground green chilli and water and mix well.
  2. Add water to the pressure cooker and bring to a boil
  3. Grease a thali and keep aside. Add eno to the besan batter and mix quickly, place on a stand in the cooker and cook without whistle for 20 minutes or till done.
  4. Prepare the tempering- Heat oil and add rai, jeera, til, green chilli,.Pour tempering on the dhokla and serve
