Ingredients to make Kobri Chatni Pudi / dry coconut chatni pudi

  • 2 full kobri / dry coconut - grated
  • 50 gm garlic
  • Small ball of tamarind
  • 50 gm guntur red chilli
  • 50 gm byadagi red chilli
  • 100 gm ground nut
  • few curry leaves
  • salt as required

How to make Kobri Chatni Pudi / dry coconut chatni pudi

  1. In a pan, separately dry roast (till slightly hot) - dry coconut, guntur red chilli, byadagi red chilli, ground nut, curry leaves and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Once it's cooled completely, transfer it to a mixer, add tamarind, salt, garlic and grind it dry till soft. Taste it and adjust seasoning as required.
  3. Transfer it to a clean jar and you can store it for month. Use only dry spoon.
  4. You can add ghee to it and serve or add curd n serve or just add hot rice ghee n this chatni pudi n enjoy
  5. NOTE : while grinding if the mixer or the jar heats up, stop the mixer right away. Let it cool. Once cool grind again. If in that heat you run the mixer, chatni pudi will turn in to chatni.

My Tip:

Do not run the mixer when its hot.
