RAW BANANA KHEER

Ingredients to make RAW BANANA KHEER

  • 1 Raw banana
  • 500 ml full fat milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • Few strands of Saffron
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dry nuts like almonds , raisins and chironji

How to make RAW BANANA KHEER

  1. In a heavy bottomed pan put milk
  2. Now place the pan on the gas
  3. Cook it on low flame , stirring occasionally
  4. Cook until the quantity becomes half
  5. Then peel the banana , wash it
  6. Then take a grater and grate the raw banana
  7. Grate it directly in the milk
  8. Mix properly and let it cook further
  9. Cook until the banana becomes soft
  10. It will take 12 - 15 minutes
  11. Then add sugar and mix well
  12. Cook further for 10 minutes
  13. Add saffron strands and mix nicely
  14. Take out in a serving bowl
  15. Garnish with saffron strands and chopped dry nuts
  16. It will become more thick when becomes cool
  17. Have it warm or cold
My Tip: Grate raw banana directly in the milk , as to avoid it to become dark in colour
