ABOUT Mushroom and Spinach Quiche RECIPE

Quiche usually is a open - faced pastry crust with a filling of savoury of one's choice. I have used bread to form the base (pastry crust) here to cut out all the butter that goes in making the crust.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 eggs
  2. 1/2 cup of Milk
  3. salt as needed
  4. 1/4 cup of cheese
  5. Pepper powder- 1 tsp
  6. Cherry tomatoes cut into halves- 6
  7. Mushrooms- 1/2 cup chopped
  8. Broccoli- 3-4 pods
  9. Spinach -1/4 cup
  10. Oil 1/2 tbsp
  11. Butter for greasing
  12. Bread slices2-3 toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°C.
  2. Grease a baking tin with butter and keep it aside.
  3. In a pan put few drops of oil and saute the mushrooms, spinach, broccoli for a few minutes until half cooked.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Add in the sauted veggies, tomatoes, bread slices, salt and pepper. Combine well.
  5. Take a baking pan and grease well with butter. Now layer the toasted bread slices in such a way that it covers the base of the pan fully.
  6. Now pour the prepared mixture on top of the bread slices.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake this for 25 minutes .
  8. Serve it warm.
