Ingredients to make Lapsi

  • Wheat dalia 1 cup
  • Gud/jaggery 1 cup
  • Dryfruits (almonds,Cashew,pista,raisins)
  • Cardamon (6-7)
  • Hot Water 2cup
  • Rose petals 1tsp
  • Rose Water / kewda 1tsp(optional)

How to make Lapsi

  1. Roast Dalia till golden brown on medium heat
  2. Once golden brown on low flame slowly add water while steering and let it cook till Dalia is soft. Once soft add jaggery, dry fruits and let it cook till water is soaked by dalia. Switch off the gas
  3. Add cardmon powder, gulab jal / kewda water
  4. Lapsi is ready just before serving add 1/2 tsp ghee on the top
My Tip: As Dalia is roasted it will splatter when you add water, so do it slowly on low heat and in the end you can also add chandi ki barak.
