Ingredients to make Lemony potatoes

  • Potatoes - 3
  • Green Chillies - 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger - finely chopped, 1 tsp
  • Channa dal - 1 tsp
  • urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seed powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Juice of half a lemon

How to make Lemony potatoes

  1. Pressure cook the potatoes for 3-5 whistles. Once cooled, dice them and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, heat a little oil, and temper with mustard seeds, green chillies, ginger, urad dal, channa dal, turmeric powder and asofoetida.
  3. Throw in the potatoes, add red chilli powder, cumin powder and salt.
  4. Toss it well and let it cook for a minute.
  5. Remove from the heat, squeeze some lemon juice, mix well and serve.
