Ingredients to make veg tangri biryani

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • Khade garam masale(cardamom cloves cinnamon)- make a potli
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 1tsp
  • Kaju- 2 tbsp
  • Fried onion -1/2 cup
  • Green chilli paste
  • For tangri kebab- soaked 1/2 cup Chana dal
  • 1/2 cup masoor dal soaked
  • Garam masala- 1 tbs
  • Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Soya granules- 1/2 cup
  • Kamal kakdi stem- 1
  • Soya chunks- 1/2 cup

How to make veg tangri biryani

  1. Boil rice with khade masale ki potli, strain and cool.
  2. Take a bowl add oil, ginger garlic, chilli paste and garam masale. Mix in soaked daals, salt and soya granules, cook it for one whistle, open, let cool then grind it.Shape into kebabs.
  3. In a big bowl add oil, desi ghee, ginger garlic paste, haldi powder, chilli, salt and very slowly put kebab roll in it, than layer the rice, then one kebab layer, then sprinkle fried onion, kaju. Add desi ghee.
  4. Again layer, then add soaked saffron. Seal with dough and cook on dum. Serve with chilled raita, green chutney and lacchedar onion.
