Shrimp Pickle

Ingredients to make Shrimp Pickle

  • Shrimps(small prawns) 1 cup
  • Red Chilly powder - as per taste
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Ginger and Garlic
  • green chillies
  • Few methi seeds
  • Salt
  • Rai(Mustard seeds)
  • Hing (asafoetida)
  • Oil

How to make Shrimp Pickle

  1. Shell and wash prawns. Marinate with salt, haldi powder and red chilli powder
  2. Grind ginger, garlic, green chillies, mustard seeds and methi seeds into a coarse paste.
  3. Next, heat oil, now add rai and hing. Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
  4. Next, add prawns and stir on low flame. Do not cover. Prawns get cooked in five minutes
  5. If you want more tang then add few drops of lime juice, it is optional but add it after pickle is cooled off
  6. Store in glass jar in the fridge. Use oil in little more quantity.
My Tip: You can use mustard oil, It is optional.
