Corn and Raw Banana Dahi Vada

Ingredients to make Corn and Raw Banana Dahi Vada

  • Fresh corn (bhutta) 250 gm
  • Raw banana (half boiled) 3
  • Curd 250 gms
  • Sugar 60 gms
  • Hing 1 pinch
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Raisins 10 gms
  • Sonth chutney 5 tsp
  • Pomegranate 1
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Corn and Raw Banana Dahi Vada

  1. Grind the fresh corn with a raw banana and some milk to form a paste. Add hing, raisins, salt and chopped coriander. Mix well.
  2. Now make the dahi vade pakodas according to your liking, fry on a low flame. Make a water syrup with hing, salt and red chilli powder. Soak the pakodas in it.
  3. Take a bowl, add curd and whisk it properly, add the caramelised sugar syrup and then add in the soaked dahivade in it.
  4. Garnish the Dahi Vade with cumin powder, black pepper powder, chat masala, sonth chutney and pomegranate seeds.
My Tip: Dahi Vade soaked in hing water for 1/2 an hour gives it a soft and a velvety texture.
