Veggie Sambhar Oats!!

Ingredients to make Veggie Sambhar Oats!!

  • Quaker Oats - 1 big cup
  • onion - 1 Finely Chopped
  • tomato - 1 chopped small
  • capsicum - 1 small chopped into small pieces
  • carrots - 2 grated
  • green chilly - 1 cut small (optional )
  • ginger - 1/4th piece cut small
  • curry leaves - few
  • mustard seeds - 1tspn
  • turmeric pwdr - half tspn
  • red chilly powder - little
  • Sambhar pwdr - abt 2 tspn ( adjust to taste )
  • salt to taste
  • water - 3 & half cups
  • coriander leaves for garnish
  • oil - 1 tbspn

How to make Veggie Sambhar Oats!!

  1. Ingredients used in this recipe
  2. Put oil in a kadhai & heat it. Then add mustard seeds
  3. After it splutters add chopped ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and onion
  4. Now saute well for a few minutes. Then add turmeric powder, red chilly powder & salt.
  5. Mix all again & fry well. Now add chopped tomatoes and other vegetables, give a nice stir.
  6. Now add the sambhar powder & mix well
  7. Then after the vegetables cook pour the measured water
  8. Then add the oats, give a nice stir and bring to boil. Keep stirring till it gets thick
  9. After cooking the oats is ready to serve. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  10. The oats is ready. Enjoy :blush:
