ABOUT Wheat Banana Raab (porridge for infants above six months) RECIPE

Avoid introducing Sugar to your infant till one year. So here adding Banana to the wheat porridge will compensate the sweetness of Sugar.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Banana 2
  2. Wheat flour 2 tsp
  3. Ghee 2 tsp
  4. Milk 1 cup
  5. Sugar 2 tsp ( optional)
  6. Water 1 cup
  7. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Almonds blanched 1 per infant (optional)
  9. Formula milk 1 cup ( according to the age and appetite of your infant) to be added before serving.

Instructions

  1. Heat pan. Add ghee and wheat flour.
  2. Roast well till brownish.
  3. Add hot water​ stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Blend blanched Almonds with milk. Add hot milk, stir well.
  5. If you are giving formula to your infant than adjust consistency keeping that in mind. As formula has to be added last.
  6. Add sugar (optional), cardamom powder
  7. Mix well. Turn off gas and allow to cool.
  8. Add mashed Bananas. Serve cold.
