ABOUT Roasted Banana Caramelised Panna cotta RECIPE

My daughter loves banana in any form. During her vacation, I wanted to make something interesting. Made this Banana Panna cotta which tastes awesome.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Riped Banana 3
  2. Ghee 1 tsp
  3. Gelatin 2 tsp
  4. Water 1/4 cup
  5. Whipping cream 1 cup
  6. Sugar 1/8 cup
  7. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  8. Nutmeg powder 1/8 tsp
  9. For Caramelization:
  10. Sugar 1/8 cup
  11. Water 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. For caramelization, add sugar, water in a pan and heat on a medium flame till the sugar dissolves. Keep the flame on low and boil till sugar syrup turns golden brown.
  2. Immediately pour the caramel into greased moulds to cover the bottom of moulds. Let them sit for 10 mins to set.
  3. In a pan heat ghee and add chopped bananas, fry in medium heat till bananas turn very soft and starts browning.
  4. When bananas turns brown, remove from flame and grind it to a fine puree.
  5. Soak gelatin in water for 10 mins or till it dissolves completely.
  6. In a pan add whipping cream, sugar and boil in low flame till sugar dissolves.No need to over boil just boil till sugar dissolves.
  7. Mix everything together, add banana puree, gelatin mix, vanilla essence, nutmeg powder to cream mix and mix well.
  8. Pour the mixture in to caramelized moulds and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Once set, remove from the refrigerator and invert onto serving plates and enjoy.
