Banana Coconut Halwa

Ingredients to make Banana Coconut Halwa

  • banana:-1 kg (I used small banana)
  • coconut:- grated ( 1cup)
  • cardamom:- 6 nos( make a powder)
  • jaggery :- 1 cup grated
  • ghee:- 1 cup ( make it in 2 parts)
  • Dry fruits:- Cashew, raisins and almonds ( raisins is optional as this halwa is already very sweet)
  • cloves:- 1-2 make a powder
  • Milk :- 1/2 cup

How to make Banana Coconut Halwa

  1. Mash banana and grind it in mixer adding milk and make a smooth paste
  2. Heat half of the ghee in non stick add banana puree and cook in a low flame stirring continously
  3. Add grated coconut and cook for another 15 mins mixing continuously.
  4. Add cardamom powder, cloves powder and grated jagerry stir continously
  5. Add remaining ghee and mix nicely and cook for another 15 mins, your halwa will start changing color and also it will start separating in your pan and role like dough.
  6. If you need little dark color of halwa you can cook for 40-45 mins stir continously
  7. Heat another pan add ghee and fry cashew and almond switch off the flame and pour this fried items to halwa and mix for 2 mins.
  8. Serve hot with tea

My Tip:

Mixing is important while making this recipe. You need to stir continuously while making this recipe
