Smoked Chicken Makhani

Ingredients to make Smoked Chicken Makhani

  • 10-12 pieces Chicken (fresh optional though)
  • 4big tomatoes
  • 3-4 big onions
  • 5-6 tblspoon oil
  • 1 tblspoon butter
  • 1tspn Bush tandoori color
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 tspn red chilli powder as preferred level
  • 1tspn roasted cummin powder
  • 1tspn garam masala (star anise cinnamon black whole cardomom cloves and black pepper)
  • 2 tspn corriander powder
  • 2 tblspn ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tspn Turmeric
  • Corriander to garnish
  • 1 piece charcoal

How to make Smoked Chicken Makhani

  1. Clean chicken wash keep aside
  2. Make tomato puree by grating them
  3. Shred onions fine
  4. Add all seasoning and ginger garlic paste to tomatoes grated
  5. Shred onions fine
  6. Heat oil saute onions and add salt turmeric here
  7. Fry onions
  8. Add chicken cover cook for 15-20 minutes, till gravy turns thicker and chicken is tender
  9. Now put on flame and heat the Coal red
  10. Now put the coal in a Steel bowl put in inside the cooking curry
  11. Add oil to this coal and cover cook 5 Minutes
  12. Keep covered tight to not let smoke escape
  13. Remove lid only when you serve, add butter, heat again to serve
My Tip: Use fresh tomatoes and cover lid well to keep smoke intact for the taste
