Ingredients to make Guvar dhokli sabji

  • Cluster beans/Guvar-250 gms
  • Wheat flour-1 cup
  • Gram flour-2 spoons
  • Ajwain-2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2+1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder-1/2 +1 tsp
  • Oil-2 spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Soda-a pinch
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida-1/2 tsp

How to make Guvar dhokli sabji

  1. Clean and prepare cluster beans by removing top and bottom parts.
  2. Take wheat flour, besan, salt, 1/2tsp turmeric, chilli powder, asafoetida , soda and 2 spoons of oil.
  3. Add water and knead a dough just like chapati dough.
  4. Make small balls and press from center to form dhokli.
  5. Prepare all dhoklis from the dough.
  6. Take a cooker and put 1 tbsp oil. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Then add all spices.
  7. Saute and then add the clusterbeans and mix with all spices.
  8. Now add salt, a glass of water and the dhoklis.
  9. Close the cooker and take 5 to 6 whistles. Let the pressure release by itself and then garnish with coriander and serve with hot fulkas.
