Ingredients to make Sweet n sour instant mango pickle

  • Raw mango pieces-1 cup
  • Jaggery-1 cup
  • Salt-1/4tsp
  • Turmeric-1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder-1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick-1 inch
  • Cloves-5
  • Bayleaf-1
  • Dried red chillies-2
  • Oil-1 tsp
  • Asafoetida-a pinch

How to make Sweet n sour instant mango pickle

  1. Take oil in a pan and add dry spices like cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf and dried chillies.
  2. Saute for a minute and add asafoetida.
  3. Now add mangoe pieces and let it cook till becomes tender.
  4. Then add jaggery and salt, turmeric, chilli powder and stir till jaggery dissolves. Turn off the gas.
  5. After it cools fill in clean bottle and enjoy this yummy pickle.

My Tip:

As it has very little oil unlike our regular pickles, it can be eaten safely by kids as well as elders everyday also.
