Palak Paneer

Ingredients to make Palak Paneer

  • Spinach 500gms
  • Paneer 200 gms
  • Green chilli 1
  • Ghee 1 tablespoon
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

How to make Palak Paneer

  1. Clean wash and blanch spinach leaves. Wash with cold water and put aside.
  2. Cut paneer into cubes and saute them a little(optional)
  3. Heat half the ghee in a kadai and saute the onions till a little golden.
  4. Make a paste of sauteed onions, blanched spinach and green chilli.
  5. Heat the remaining ghee and put ginger garlic paste. Once cooked put the spinach paste and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Put the dry masalas, salt and sugar and let it simmer for another 5 minutes till the masalas get cooked.
  7. After the masalas are cooked put the paneer cubes and simmer for 3 minutes.
  8. Once cooked switch off the cooktop and put in the cream after whipping it slightly.
  9. Serve hot with phulka/ Naan.
