Dilpasand (Coconut Bun)

Ingredients to make Dilpasand (Coconut Bun)

  • Fresh shredded coconut - 2 Cups
  • Sugar - 1 Cup or to taste
  • cardamom powder - a pinch
  • Nutmeg powder - a pinch
  • Puff Pastry sheets or Frozen Paratha - 2
  • Tutti Fruity - 1/4 Cup or to taste

How to make Dilpasand (Coconut Bun)

  1. Add shredded coconut to a pan and fry over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add cardamom powder, dry fruits, nutmeg and mix well.
  4. Add Tutti Fruity and mix well. Let it cool.
  5. Thaw puff pastry sheet or frozen paratha for 30 minutes, until it comes to room temperature.
  6. Cut paranthas in two rounds, one bigger and other little small in size. You can make any shape you want.
  7. Put stuffing over a parantha, spread evenly and place another piece of paratha over filling and seal its edges using a drop of water.
  8. Now bake over 180°C for 30 minutes and after 30 minutes turn off the oven and leave the tray inside for another 15 minutes.
