Maggi Nimbu Bhaath

Ingredients to make Maggi Nimbu Bhaath

  • 1 double packet Maggi
  • water for cooking the noodles
  • oil for tadka 2 - 3 tbsps
  • Rai 1/2 tsp
  • jeera 1/2 tsp
  • asafoetida (hing) 1 pinch
  • curry leaves (kadipatta) 8 - 10
  • green chillies 2 - 3
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves for garnish
  • Grated coconut 2 tbsps

How to make Maggi Nimbu Bhaath

  1. Crush the noodles in the packet before removing
  2. Keep sufficient water to boil for cooking the noodles
  3. Add a tsp cooking oil to the boiling water and the noodles
  4. Cook al dente, drain and keep aside
  5. In a kadhai (wok), heat the oil
  6. Add the mustard seeds and hing after they splutter
  7. Add the jeera, curry leaves, turmeric powder and the chopped green chillies
  8. Switch off the gas. After a few minutes, add the cooked noodles, salt and lemon juice and mix carefully.
  9. Garnish with Chopped coriander and grated coconut and serve hot.

My Tip:

You can add onions, grated carrots, capsicum for making healthier. Use chilly and garam masala powder as spice
