Ingredients to make Maggi topped Rava Idli (Memories of Maggi)

  • Maggi 1 packet
  • Rava 1 cup
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • chilli ginger paste 1 tbs
  • salt
  • oil for tadka 1tbs
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Urad daal 1 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 5 to 6
  • Chopped mix vegetables carrot, tomatoes, green peas 1/2 cup
  • Fruit salt 1 tsp
  • oil for glazing 2 tsp
  • For serving
  • coriander coconut Chutney
  • Dry Chutney powder
  • Sambar

How to make Maggi topped Rava Idli (Memories of Maggi)

  1. Take Rava in a mixing pan.
  2. Make Maggi as per pack instructions.
  3. Now make tadka. Heat oil put some mustard seeds, urad daal. When the tadka is ready add curry leaves and asafoetida and pour the tadka on Rava and now mix raw Rava well with tadka. Add chilli ginger paste.
  4. Add Crud and salt in rava and make batter with the help of water. Rest for 3 to 4 minutes add fruit salt or eno in the batter and mix well. The batter will become soft and light.
  5. Add chopped vegetables, The batter should be thick.
  6. Graze the idli stand put banana leaves graze them also.
  7. Put first cooked Maggi and than put idli batter on it
  8. Steam in idli streamer for 10 minutes.
  9. After 10 minutes remove hot idlis from steamer and sever on a banana leaves with chutney and Sambar.

My Tip:

To make different variation add salsa sauce for Mexican version.
