Ingredients to make Lime Pickle with garam masala

  • 1 1/2 Kg Lemon with thin skin (usually winter lemon are thin skin )
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup Rock salt (Sendha namak)
  • 1 tblspn garam masala
  • 1tblspn Ajwain
  • A clean glass Jar

How to make Lime Pickle with garam masala

  1. Wash lemons well and dry up
  2. Cut into 8 quarters into a clean and dry jar
  3. Now put the salt mix well
  4. Keep in hot sun for 3-5 days
  5. Now add the sugar, gram masala and ajwain and keep in sun everyday for almost a week
  6. Keep lightly folding it every alternate day
  7. Now do not keep in sun but check softness in about ten days with a spoon
  8. Leave it as is for at least 15 days so its soft and usable
  9. Older the pickle better it tastes and quality
My Tip: Keep 1 month at least after the sun period before use for better results
