Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Arvi/Colocasia 1/2 kg
  2. ajwain /carom seeds 1 tbsp
  3. lemon juice 2 tbsp
  4. salt to taste
  5. coriander powder 1 tbsp
  6. chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  7. chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  8. dry mango powder 1/2 tbsp
  9. turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. red chili powder 2 tsp
  11. oil 2 tbsp
  12. finely chopped onion 1 large
  13. black pepper powder 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and hard boil the Arvi, peel and cut into twos.
  2. Heat the oil (you can also use desi ghee) add carom seed, saute the onions.
  3. Add green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and cook it for 2 minutes, add arvi and mix well in the spices.
  4. Add mango powder, black pepper powder, lemon juice and cook for 5 minutes with stirring.
  5. Switch off the flame, garnish with coriander. Serve hot with paratha.

This must be delicious... ! The arvi i make is very simple with just cumin tempering, will definately try out this recipe next time i make arvi...thanks Hemlata ji! :D
