Red Velvet Cookies

Ingredients to make Red Velvet Cookies

  • Maida 1 cup (200) ml
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Butter 100 gm
  • Vanilla essence 1tsp
  • Milk 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder (optional) 1 tbsp
  • Salt if you use unsalted butter 1/4 tsp
  • Castor sugar 80 gm
  • Red colour 1 tbsp
  • White choco chips 1/2 cup
  • Icing sugar to dust the cookies

How to make Red Velvet Cookies

  1. Beat butter and sugar together till creamy.
  2. Mix milk and colour together.
  3. Add this in the butter mix.
  4. Sieve dry ingredients.
  5. Add in the butter mixture.
  6. Add choco chips now or keep for the stuffing.
  7. Kneed and make a soft dough.
  8. Make walnut size balls.
  9. Stuff choco chips in the balls.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 160c for 15 mins.
  11. Cool it on a wire rack.
  12. Store and enjoy with tea.
My Tip: Dip half part of cookies in the melted white chocolate for a fun twist.
