Maggi Misal

Ingredients to make Maggi Misal

  • For preparation of maggi
  • Maggi 1/2 packet
  • Maggi masala 1/4 pouch
  • onion grated 1/2
  • tomato Ketchup 1 Tbsp
  • garlic crushed 1/2 tsp
  • ginger grated 1/4 tsp
  • dhania powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • butter 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • water double the required quantity.
  • For poha preparation
  • Poha 1 1/2 cup
  • Moth sprout 2 tsp
  • onion 1( big)
  • carrot chopped fine 1 tbsp
  • Purple cabbage chopped 2 tsp
  • tomato 1 chopped
  • Green chilli chopped 1
  • salt, turmeric to taste
  • curd 1 tbsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • aloo Bhujia sev 2 tbsp
  • Chopped tomato fine 1 tbsp
  • Boondi 1 tbsp.

How to make Maggi Misal

  1. For making Poha.
  2. Wash and soak poha for 2 minutes. Squeeze out water. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add Asafoetida and mustard seeds. Once it crackles add chopped chilli.
  4. Now add chopped onion, saute add Chopped Tomato, saute.
  5. Add all masala and a pinch of salt.
  6. Now add beaten curd ( this will help poha to be soft), give a stir and add Poha immediately.
  7. Adjust all masala mentioned. Add little Sugar and turn off the gas.
  8. For making Maggie
  9. Take 1 cup water, boil, add Maggi masala. Just break noodles small and add. Let it cook.
  10. Till that heat butter in another pan, add grated onion and saute.
  11. Add all masala mentioned (except Tomato ketchup) and saute well.
  12. Add this to the cooked Maggi gravy. Now add Tomato ketchup. Adjust the taste. Turn off gas.
  13. Check the consistency of the gravy. We have to add it to poha.
  14. Now take prepared Poha in a plate, poue prepared gravy, add Bhujia sev, Boondi, Chopped Tomato, and a pinch of Parsley.
  15. Serve your kid with this new tasty combination he would love.

My Tip:

You can add the masala to the gravy according to the taste of your child. You also can add Pomegranate seeds if your kid likes.
