ABOUT Mutton Fried with Elephant Apple Powder RECIPE

Elephant Apple popularly known as (Oou Tenga) in Assam is sun dried for many days before grinding into coarse powder.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mutton leg cut into big pieces 250 grams
  2. Elephant Apple Power 3 tablespoon
  3. Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  4. cumin powder 1 tablespoon
  5. Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  6. Ginger Paste half tablespoon
  7. Garlic Paste half tablespoon
  8. Onion Paste 4 tablespoon
  9. Red Chilli Flakes 1 tablespoon
  10. garam masala 1 tablespoon
  11. Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon
  12. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. In a bawl take the meat and add elephant apple powder, chilli powder and rub on the meat pieces properly and leave like that for about an hour.
  2. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, onion paste and mix properly. Rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Take a deep non sticky pan and add 4 tsp oil add half tablespoon red chilli flakes and some cumin seeds for tampering.
  4. Now add the meat, salt as per taste and keep frying in low heat until the meat is cooked properly.
  5. Keep splashing water if the masala gets burn. Sprinkle some chilly flakes, elephant apple powder and garam masala while serving.
