Ingredients to make Papad - pyaz curry

  • Onion 3-4
  • Papad 2-3
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh cream or frozen malai
  • Fenugreek seeds or daana methi - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi
  • Cashews- chopped

How to make Papad - pyaz curry

  1. First, slice the onions and break the papads and keep them aside
  2. Take some oil in the pan and add-in little cumin and fenugreek seeds .
  3. Add sliced onions and saute them for one to two minutes. Add a bit of salt in it.
  4. Then add papad pieces and saute all together . After 1 minute, we can add spices in that like coriander powder, salt, black pepper powder and saute for a minute.
  5. Then , add a little quantity of water just to dip all ingredients . And cover it for 3-4 minutes.
  6. After the papad and onions are cooked with water, add 100 ml of milk and sugar in that.
  7. Then, at last, add some cream or frozen malai (which is melted and turned into cream like texture)
  8. Final garnishing will be with kasoori methi and cashews...
  9. Now, our papad- pyaz curry is ready to serve with hot chapattis. Enjoy!!!! :thumbsup:
My Tip: Sugar addition is of choice. If you don't like sweet taste, exclude sugar. You can use any papad like chana, urad, moong
