Udad Dahi vade

Ingredients to make Udad Dahi vade

  • Udad 1 cup
  • Washed Udad daal 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves 4 tbsp chopped
  • Green chilli 4 chopped
  • Ginger 2 cm
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt 2 cup
  • Sugar 4 tbsp
  • Garnishing
  • Tamarind chutney
  • green chutney
  • Red chilli

How to make Udad Dahi vade

  1. Soak Sabut Udad and dhuli udad daal in a same container for 5 hours or overnight
  2. Drain water and grind it in a mixer in a smooth paste add only 2 to 3 tbsp water grind coriander leaves,green chilli, ginger, garlic in the same jar
  3. Now continuous mix it for 3 minutes add salt again mix it until it becomes light
  4. Heat the pan put oil for frying
  5. Now make round balls of it and deep fry it on a low flame
  6. Now boil 2 glass water and turn off flame put all the vade in to it for 30 minutes so they become soft
  7. Take yogurt in a bowl add sugar mix it well
  8. Now add all the balls in it
  9. Now serve with tamarind and green chutney with red chilli powder.
