ABOUT Malai Kofta (jain) RECIPE

This one's healthy. It has Paneer and Lauki, a jain Malai kofta too. No onion, garlic gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 100 gms paneer
  2. 100 gms Lauki
  3. 2 medium tomato
  4. 1 tsp ginger crushed
  5. 1 tbsp wheat flour
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp cumin
  8. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  9. 1 tsp red chilli powder as preferred
  10. 1 tsp coriander powder
  11. 1 tbsp fresh milk top cream
  12. Oil to deep fry koftas

Instructions

  1. Peel grate and boil Lauki with salt
  2. Drain out the water squeeze dry
  3. Take paneer, crumble into lauki well and add sum salt, pepper and garam masala
  4. Also add 1 Tbsp wheat flour
  5. Heat oil to fry and make small balls of above mix
  6. Deep fry till golden and remove
  7. On other hand heat 1 tsp ghee add cumin and splutter them
  8. Puree the tomatoes and add to hot ghee, along with all seasoning
  9. Add ginger crushed too
  10. Saute and cook well
  11. Now cool and strain the tomato mix to get a semi thick gravy
  12. Keep malai ready too
  13. Now add fried kofta into gravy and top with the malai
  14. Heat again only to serve in micro oven
