Motichoor Laddu

Ingredients to make Motichoor Laddu

  • besan 1 cup
  • Orange food colour 1 pinch
  • water to make batter
  • oil 1 tbsp for frying
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1/4 cup
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • elaichi powder 1/4 tsp
  • pista flakes 1 tsp
  • Kharbuje ke beej (optional)
  • Badi elaichi ke daane 4-5

How to make Motichoor Laddu

  1. Make smooth and flowing Batter using besan, around half cup water and orange food colour. Add 1 tbsp oil and keep aside for 10 mins.
  2. In between make one string sugar syrup using 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Add lemon juice and elaichi powder.
  3. In a kadhai add oil or ghee for frying.
  4. Add batter to hot oil using a this vegetable greater or a big spoon with holes.
  5. Make boondis and fry for 45 sec or 1 min
  6. Put boondis in tissue paper.
  7. Add boondis in hot sugar syrup and mix well.
  8. Add badi elaichi and mix well. Put this mixture in a mixer jar and grind for a few seconds.
  9. Take out the mixture add kharbuje ke beej and mix well
  10. Grease your palm with using oil and make laddus. Garnish with pista or badam flakes.

My Tip:

Use little milk if you are not able to bind laddus.
