Slow cooked beef

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For slow cooking the beef
  2. schezwan pepper (powdered) 20 gms
  3. garlic powder 20 gms
  4. sesame seeds (powdered) 10 gms
  5. dry red chilli (powdered) 1 tbs
  6. ginger powder 10 gms
  7. chives 1 stem
  8. light soy sauce 3 tbs
  9. rice wine vinegar 3 tbs
  10. celery seeds (powdered) 10 gms
  11. chicken bone powder 20 gms
  12. lemongrass 1 stem
  13. crushed pepper 3 tbs
  14. To saute
  15. crushed garlic 2 tbs
  16. sliced onion 2 nos
  17. Capsicum half chopped
  18. spring onion 1 stem chopped
  19. celery 1 stem chopped
  20. Chinese five spice powder 2 tbs
  21. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. For cooking the beef
  2. add oil and then add the beef and stir
  3. add the ingredients and stir
  4. then add some water to top up and close the lid
  5. for sauté
  6. add the ingredients and sauté till well cooked
  7. once the beef is cooked, add the sautéed mix to the cooked beef broth
  8. cook till broth and beef reaches the desired flavor and thickness
  9. for me, I preferred the dish to be semi gravy so I cooked the dish with the lid open and with a medium to high flame.
  10. those who prefer the gravy version, cook with the lid closed
