About Italian bhel Recipe

This is a perfect pack and go picnic dish. No need to worry about it getting soggy as well. It can be made colorful by adding your favourite veggies or even fruits(Apple/pomegranate to name a few) .Serve it room temperature or chilled ,serve it with green chutney /sweet chutney or just with lime juice and chat masala, its a hit with all age group .

Italian bhel

Ingredients to make Italian bhel

  • 1/2 Box - whole wheat Farfalle /Boiled
  • 1 - carrot / finely chopped
  • 1 - small potato/boiled/chopped
  • 1 - small onion/ finely chopped
  • Few green beans/finely chopped - 5 to 8
  • Red and green bell pepper/ finely chopped - 1/2 each
  • A handful - corn
  • Cilantro/ coriander leaves/chopped - 1/2 bunch
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Chat masala - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Fried garam flour vermicelli / Sev as much as desired

How to make Italian bhel

  1. Boil the pasta. According to the instruction given on the box.
  2. Finely chop all the vegetables.
  3. Boil carrot, corn and beans for few minute in the microwave.
  4. Mix all the vegetables in the pasta. Keep it in the fridge for a few minutes to chill.
  5. Remove it from the fridge and add lime juice and season it as per taste..
  6. Just serve it as it is or top it up with some sev.
