Simple Egg Biryani

Ingredients to make Simple Egg Biryani

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 glass Rice
  • 2 glass water
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 capsicum chopped
  • A bunch of coriander leaves
  • Few pudina leaves
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon dhanya powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • An inch of cinnamon
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 star anise
  • Oil as required
  • 2 teaspoon Ghee
  • Salt

How to make Simple Egg Biryani

  1. In a cooker add oil and heat it. Now add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise and fry till the flavours of masala are released and it splutters.
  2. Add onions and fry for a minute. Add capsicum and fry. Now add coriander leaves and pudina leaves, fry till it is turned crispy. Add tomatoes and fry till it is cooked.
  3. Add in red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala, salt and turmeric powder. Fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add 2 glasses of water. Bring to boil. Check for the seasoning. Add rice and mix well. Add ghee.
  5. Now break the egg in a small bowl and slowly drop it inside the cooker. Put in egg one after the other in different place of the cooker. (Do not mix after the egg is dropped. If not whole egg will be mashed)
  6. Close the cooker lid and cook it for 2 whistle and allow it to cool completely.
  7. Open the lid and serve the hot egg biryani
My Tip: Make sure egg white and egg yolk is not mixed up while dropping the eggs.
