ABOUT Paneer bhurji curry RECIPE

Delicious crumbly paneer cooked in a yogurt based gravy, to go along with rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Crumbled Paneer - 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Chopped Green Chillies - 2
  4. Chopped tomatoes - 1
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  10. Yoghurt - 3 tbsp
  11. Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
  12. Salt
  13. Refined oil/ghee
  14. Whole garam masalas:
  15. Elaichi - 2
  16. Cloves - 2
  17. Cinnamon - 1 inch
  18. Tejpatta

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil/ghee in a kadhai, add the whole garam masalas.
  2. Once they are aromatic, add the chopped onion and green chillies and saute till golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute further, then add the chopped tomatoes and cook till they are soft and mushy.
  4. Add salt and powdered masalas and cook further.
  5. Then add the yogurt and cook till the masalas leaves oil.
  6. Add water to form the gravy, once it boils, add the crumbled Paneer.
  7. Check for salt and serve with fresh coriander leaves.
