Ingredients to make Dahi wale aloo matar

  • Small sized potatoes - 10
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup
  • Grated onion - 1
  • Chopped tomatoes- 1
  • curd - 1 cup ( home made sweet curd with mild sweetness )
  • ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • jeera powder- 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry red chillies- 2
  • tej patta - 2
  • salt
  • Refined oil
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp

How to make Dahi wale aloo matar

  1. Deep fry the potatoes in the oil and keep aside.
  2. Now in the oil, add the jeera, dry red chillies and tej patta followed by the grated onion.
  3. Once the onion is golden brown, add the chopped tomatoes and then the green peas.
  4. Now mix all the powdered masalas into the sweet curd and add this mix into the kadhai.
  5. Add salt and mix it while the masala cooks and leaves oil.
  6. Then add water and the fried potatoes.
  7. Add some more salt and sprinkle the garam masala powder, cook till done. Serve.
